Jonathan B. Cifonelli is an associate in the Litigation Practice Group. He practices in both federal and state court in commercial, employment, products liability, civil rights and other areas of complex civil litigation.

Mr. Cifonelli was a member of the University of Illinois Law Review and of the Journal of Law, Technology, and Policy. He was also a member of the 2005 University of Illinois Intellectual Property Moot Court Team and won Best Overall in the U of I's 2004 Intellectual Property Moot Court Competition. He also volunteered for the Appellate Defender's office.

• Representation of private and public employers and universities in employment litigation cases, including Title VII and malicious prosecution claims.

• Representation of municipalities in civil rights litigation.

• Representation of corporations in breach of contract and trademark lawsuits.

• Representation of management in the healthcare industry in connection with investigations under the False Claims Act and Stark Law, including qui tam lawsuits.
