Biography: |
Linzey Jones is a partner in Pugh, Jones, Johnson & Quandt, P.C.’s Litigation Practice Group. Mr. Jones has more than 25 years of experience in labor and employment law representing businesses and public agencies in developing and implementing strategies to address the wide variety of issues that arise in today’s workplace. This includes an extensive trial practice defending employers in class actions and individual lawsuits against various claims including employment discrimination and wage and hour disputes, counseling employers on employment practices and policies in order to avoid litigation, mediating or arbitrating labor-management disputes and protecting employers from unfair competition and loss of trade secrets.
Mr. Jones is Mayor of the Village of Olympia Fields, Illinois, a Member of the Executive Committee of the Metropolitan Mayors Caucus, a Member of the National Conference of Black Mayors, Inc., and past President of the South Suburban Mayors and Managers Association.

Experience: |
• Member of trial team in seven-week bench trial in Middle District of Alabama of a race discrimination class action involving promotion and testing claims.
• Lead trial attorney for employers in several discrimination cases resulting in summary judgment for employer.
• Lead trial attorney in several cases representing employers in the prosecution of restrictive covenant claims against former employees.
• Representation of employers in agribusiness; energy; industrial, food, and consumer goods manufacturing; management consulting; pharmaceutical; and the rail industry in all phases and types of employment litigation.
• Representation of management in the public sector, energy, industrial and food manufacturing in collective bargaining and labor arbitration.
