Complex Civil and White Collar Litigation

Most of Pugh, Jones, Johnson & Quandt, P.C.'s practice is devoted to civil trial practice. In these matters, our corporate clients include Fortune 100 manufacturers of furniture, telecommunications equipment, producers and marketers of food and beverage products and pharmaceuticals and other medical products. Other valued clients include family-owned businesses and individual entrepreneurs. We seek and accept other civil as well as white collar criminal matters that require counsel with the depth of trial experience we offer. Walter Jones is a former chief of the criminal and civil divisions of the United States Attorney's office in Chicago, and has tried more than 100 jury cases; Stephen Pugh is a former federal prosecutor and has tried a significant number of criminal and civil cases; and Dennis Johnson has defended a number of complex employment and other claims through trial. We handle appellate work through federal and state appellate courts including the United States Supreme Court.

We practice in the substantive civil areas including patent infringement and related contract claims; products liability defense (medical products, food items, mechanical devices); employment and antitrust claims (as described below) and adversary litigation in bankruptcy court.

Our general commercial litigation cases cover, among others, fraud and contract claims, directors and officers liability claims, as well as personal injury. Messrs. Jones and Pugh have served as hearing officers for governmental entities in Chicago. We also have conducted internal corporate investigations for clients concerning fraud, employment and other claims.
